Our Client is an international gold producer with operations in Australia and Africa.
They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mine OHST Coordinator for one of their African operations in a rewarding and challenging role.
Pre-requisites:

Minimum 10 years within the mining industry with minimum 5 years mining exposure         
Experience with SHE System and Process development including policies and procedures
Experience with management and coordination of SHE systems in association with site and corporate based goals and objectives.
Experience with training module development and delivery
SHE Training required
Experience with training and communication of African National staff is highly regarded but not essential

Position Description:
Key Role and responsibilities but not limited to:-

This position reports to the Mining Manager
Review, develop and manage the OHST structure within the Mining department in-line with site goals and objectives         
Ensure department training retains continuity between other site departments and site training goals         
Coordinate department training programs with respect to position roles and responsibilities
Review and development of department specific Safe Operating Procedures
Facilitate clear, concise and objective Job Safety Analysis processes
Form an active role in operational safety awareness and training in all active mining areas
Facilitate and manage department incident investigation and root cause analysis
Coordinate SOP management between client and mining contractor

Roster:

Roster is 7/3 with travel in Company time
