Our client, an exploration and development of mineral projects with a specific focus on iron ore, gold and base metals are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to be the Mine Managers back to back. Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering;
- Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers License;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Experience using Mine Planning software (preferably, Vulcan/Surpac/Deswik and Alastri).
Position Duties:
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the mining schedule and associated deliverables to all stakeholders;
- Assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts and other plans and schedules;
- Deliver operational pit designs and related infrastructure designs for weekly and monthly schedules to maximise the value of the mining business;
- Assist with the optimisation of the long-term plans through application of sound mining engineering design and strategic consideration;
- Conducting project planning, producing project schedules, analysing project progress and reporting on the project planning indicators;
- Reviewing drill and blast designs submitted by mining contractor for subsequent approval.
