LONG TERM CONTRACT ROLE - MINIMUM 6 MONTHS

Our Client operates the largest underground mine in Australia and is one of the leading producers of lead, silver and zinc in the world.

They are looking for a Plant Metallurgist with a background in flotation to join their production team for a long term contract with the potential to move to a permanent role. Experience in Heavy Media Separation will be well regarded.

As Plant Metallurgist, you will be responsible for providing information and analysis to optimise and continuously improve throughput and recovery in the Processing Plant. 

Duties & Responsibilities:        

• Actively participate in safety and production improvement initiatives         
• Provision of technical expertise to operations personnel to assist with plant problem solving        
• Report on production and budget targets        
• Monitor and analyse plant performance in order to maximise throughput and recovery

Requirements:  

• 2-5 years experience as a Metallurgist in a processing plant, flotation experience well regarded       
• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or Mineral Processing    
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills      
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office
