4832 - Principal Project Engineer (Residential NSW)

To ensure the continued growth of their successful operations, their Development and Projects department is currently seeking an innovative and high motivated Principal Project Engineer. Being a valued member of this dynamic team, you will be accountable for the generation and evaluation of value creation opportunities so as to maximise the business. Our Client currently has projects ranging from Greenfield development opportunities through to the innovative optimisation of current operations.

Reporting to the Study Manager East your key responsibilities with this position will include but not limited to the following;

  • Engineering of the processing and surface infrastructure which includes the concentrator, concentrate handling facilities, power, water and tailings.
  • Engineering of the mining equipment and infrastructure including mobile equipment, workshop, dewatering and power reticulation.
  • Investment optimisation and leverage identification and assessment.
  • Schedule-cost estimates and management.
  • Risk assessment and reviews.
  • Managing multi-disciplinary consultants and contractors.
  • Establishing engineering systems to satisfy the Investment Standard appropriate to the phases of development.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.

Your key skills and attributes will incorporate the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
  • Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal
  • Extensive experience with project financial evaluation
  • Thorough understanding of investment evaluation principles
  • Some knowledge of general mining and processing knowledge
  • Well develop presentation skill, tenacity and personal resilience
  • Strong leadership abilities
