An exciting opportunity exists to step in to a Senior Long Term Planning Engineer role with a global mining company, operating at large modern open-cut metalliferous mines. This is a KEY role within a large operation which with recent gold price movements, there is significant room for project expansion in an already large operation

Responsibilities of the role include; 

• Coordinating all long-term planning activities for the mine
• Conducting planning and reports of business and budget statistics
• Developing life of mine schedules and subsequent financial evaluations of these
• Liaising with and providing recommendations to management and short to medium term planning engineers
• Performing feasibility studies and assisting in projects as required

You will possess:

• Degree in Engineering (Mining or Civil)
• A minimum of 5 years experience in mine planning - preferably in large open-pit mining environment
• Ability to communicate plans effectively with management and planning engineering teams
