Their large open pit gold mine currently has a requirement for a Drill & Blast Engineer. This role represents an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that holds safety in the highest regard and is dedicated to continuous improvement methods and the development of their employees.

As a member of the technical services team you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the Drill & Blast functions of the operation to ensure desired results are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Providing reports as required
• Liaising with production personnel
• Designing and scheduling Drill & Blast plans and activities to ensure blasting efficiency

Our Client is looking for a motivated and passionate individual that wants to build a career within their organisation. Successful applicants will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining or Civil) and previous experience in a mining environment.

This position is offered on a permanent residential basis. It is based in Kalgoorlie that has approximately 30,000 people and excellent amenities that appeal to families and singles alike.
