Our Client is Australia’s largest tin producer. They hold a pipeline of diverse assets from exploration to development and a strong portfolio of nickel production royalties.

They are now seeking the services of a Plant Metallurgist to actively contribute to maximising tin recovery in one of Australia’s most complex and diverse concentrators.

Located on the wild and beautiful west coast of Tasmania, their project includes conventional crushing and grinding processes, sulphide and oxide flotation, state-of-the-art gravity concentration processes, and concentrates leaching.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Controlling the day to day metallurgical performance of the plant.
• Design, supervision, and conducting of metallurgical testwork and sampling programs.
• All Metallurgical functions associated within the plant and monthly reporting.
• Liaison with maintenance personnel to optimise processing equipment.
• Provide day to day metallurgical troubleshooting.

To be successful in this role you will require;

• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering.
• Around 2 years post graduate experience.
• Exposure to flotation processes is essential.
