MINING ENGINEERING JOBS : 7006 - Drill and Blast /Short Term Planning - closed
Our Client operates an open pit operation in the Northern Territory. The mine has further exploration potential given that its tenement holdings are approx 2,000 km2. The Company own down stream processing facilities in Asia.
Our Client is looking for a MINING ENGINEER for their operations.
Responsibilities
- Long, medium and short term open pit planning
- Mine design, scheduling and budgeting
- Supervision of Contractors as required
- Project feasibility studies
- Drill and Blast supervision
- Development and operation of mining systems
- Evaluation of open pit mining equipment
- Timely completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Ensure compliance with Company OH&S and environmental policies and standards
Requirements
- Mining Engineering degree
- Restricted Quarry Managers certificate is preferred
- 3+ years open pit or underground experience
- Minemax and Whittle experience
- Drill and Blast open pit experience
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Good communication skills
The roster is 9/5. This is FIFO from Darwin to site.
Our client is prepared to pay interstate flights for first 3 months to Darwin and will then pay reasonable relocation costs to be residential in Darwin
