OPEN PIT SENIOR MINE PLANNING ENGINEER
Our client operates an Open Pit mine in WA.
They are looking for an Senior Mine Planning Engineer for their operations
This is a key role, providing mine planning for the operations. You will provide technical and operational input into the open pit mining process.
Accountabilities
- Providing technical input into the open pit mining process
- Scheduling of short and long term mine targets
- Ensuring open pit production processes comply with site quality control standards
- Coordinate and identify key performance indicators to monitor open pit mining performance
- Monitor and report daily, weekly and monthly on production and safety performance of open pit operations
- Preparation of capital justification submissions for mining equipment requirements
- Various other projects as required
- Ensure environmental issues and impacts are considered in all aspects of duties
This is a FIFO 8/6 roster
Position Requirements

Degree in Mining Engineering
-
Preferably has a minimum of 5 years experience in an open pit operation.

Proven safety management performance in a mining operation
- Initiative and strong problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Computer literate with mine design software
