PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

Our client operates a mine in the Northern Territory. 

They are looking for a Production Superintendent - Mining  for their operation

Reporting to the Production Manager the primary focus of this role is to be responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of the mining operations to meet business objectives for a  budgeted, safe production output in a sustainable, cost effective manner, in line with Company and statutory requirements.

The successful Candidate will be accountable for the following, but not limited to:

• Ensure the health and safety of all staff involved in mining operations is in compliance with Company standards
• Manage mining operations and co ordinate drill and blast operations
• Develop and implement strategies and action plan for the Mining Department
• Monitor daily achievement of targets and take corrective action if target not attained
• Provide effective problems solving support for the Mining Department
• Manage de-watering programme
• Assist with long term strategic plans
• Manage short and medium term mine planning activities
• Oversee contractors

This is a residential role with accommodation support

The requirements for the Candidate to be suitable for this positions would be:

• Degree in Mining Engineering 
• Preferably has a minimum of 10 years experience.
• Proven safety management performance in a mining operation
• Initiative and strong problem solving skills
• Ability to lead and mentor the mining team
• Excellent communication skills
