Position Synopsis

An opportunity exists for an established HR professional to join our clients HR team. Reporting to the Manager - Human Resources, you will lead and mentor a team that acts as the key point of delivery for advising and coaching the line managers in all aspects of HR management. Your other key relationships will be with the broader HR team and the Mine management team.

With extensive generalist experience in providing advice on people issues to managers and employees, your mandate will be to lead the HR function and deliver workforce planning outcomes, capability plan documents, contractor management and employee relations services across the function. In so doing, you will contribute to the development of a consistent approach to key HR issues and the full engagement of their workforce to assist in the continued success of their people in achieving optimum business outcomes.

You will spearhead the implementation of our clients HR Strategy & Standards for your area and contribute to the operation as a key member of the HR leadership team. Demonstrated judgement in sensitive situations, the ability to develop productive relationships and your commitment to 'Zero Harm' will be central to your success in this challenging and rewarding role. All of your activities will be underwritten by your intimate understanding of the importance of educating managers of the value that expertly applied HR principles can add to a business's bottom line.

This is a residential role with accommodation support

Skills and Experience

• You will possess degree qualifications in Human Resources or related disciplines and display a breadth of knowledge, understanding and skills in core HR functional competencies preferably gained in the mining / minerals processing industry sector.
• Your influential interpersonal skills will be applied to developing productive relationships with all stakeholders, forging partnerships that influence change and assisting in the achievement of their business goals.
• You are known as an ambitious and talented professional who is looking for a role that will provide a development opportunity for your progression into a more senior HR leadership role
• Exposure to the full spectrum of HR (including Employee Relations) is essential, as are excellent communication and team skills. Experience in facilitation of change on a business-wide level will be highly regarded
