Our client is a leading Western Australian based provider of services to the resources sector. The range of specialist services provided includes: Drill & Blast, Civil Infrastructure Projects, such as site preparation works, rail formation, road construction, bulk earthworks and tunnel construction; with Mining Services including, earthmoving, waste stripping, ore haulage, and related ancillary services.
They are looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Planner with suitable Mining and Civil Earthmoving equipment experience to join their growing Maintenance Team in their head office in Perth.
General Duties
Your General Duties shall include, but not be limited to:
- Plan and organise scheduled maintenance for machinery on site (e.g. Midlife Rebuilds, undercarriage and bucket replacements).
- Analyse SOS reports, monitor trends and send reports to site with recommendations
- Co-ordinate machine repairs and overhauls in the Perth workshop
- Create Service sheets for machinery
- Liaise and build a relationship's with Machine dealerships (e.g. Cat / Hitachi)
- Manage Component replacement
- Ensure current component condition is known
- Track the utilisation and availability of earthmoving machine fleet
- Provide regular feedback to the Plant Manager
Essential Criteria
The following qualifications and experience is essential for this role:
- A Trade qualification as an Earthmoving Fitter / Mechanic
- At least 5 years maintenance experience as a tradesman in the Mining or Civil Construction Industry with a minimum of 2 years maintenance planning experience in a similar role
- Computer Literacy - be able to use outlook, word processing and spreadsheet packages
- Excellent analytical problem solving techniques and skills
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and interpersonal
