SENIOR UNDERGROUND MINING ENGINEER
Our client is a diversified base metals developer in the Pilbara region.
As operations are beginning to ramp up our client is looking for an SENIOR UNDERGROUND MINING ENGINEER to join their team.
This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to step into this position and make a career choice to be an integral part of the growth of this company. As well as underground work, there is also an opportunity to be involved in exploration activities around the area.
As a key member of the management team, this pivotal role will involve.
Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with Company, OH&S and environmental standards
- Re development of an existing underground mine
- Working with consultants to establish mining resources and mine design
- Potential to act as and take on role of Registered Underground Manager and or Alternate/Registered Manager
- Being actively involved in the senior management team
This FIFO role with 2/1 roster, may consider other roster options
Position Requirements
-
Degree in Mining Engineering
- 1st Class Mine Managers Certificate or Shift Boss Ticket
- Some exposure to Open Pit mining would be advantageous

Previous Senior positions in underground mine scheduling and design role

Proven safety management performance in a mining operation

Initiative and strong problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills
