MINING ENGINEERING JOBS : 7249 - Underground Senior Mine Planning Engineer - closed
Our client owns and operates successful copper, gold and coal operations in Australia and overseas.
They are looking for an SENIOR UNDERGROUND MINE PLANNING ENGINEER.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager this position will play a key part in the long term planning and technical management of the underground operations.
- Ensure the production and safety targets of the underground operation are continually achieved or exceeded
- Development of LOM plans for underground operations which optimise the financial performance of the mine
- Developing designs, plans and schedules to achieve optimal production and financial outcomes
- Work with geotechnical and production engineers on paste-fill design and sequencing
- Liaising with geology and production staff to develop appropriate stope design
- Provide guidance and mentoring to production engineers
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
- 5+ years experience in the mining industry in a similar role
- Experience in mine design software such as Surpac an Vulcan
