Our client is a global diversified mining group. They are operating an underground mine along with a processing plant in Northern Queensland.

They are looking for an UNDERGROUND MINING ENGINEER for their operations

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer the primary focus of this role is to work within a technical services team to ensure mine design and production support activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Accountability's

• Ensure compliance with Company, OH&S and environmental standards
• Ensure ongoing statutory mine ventilation compliance, including development and implementation
• Support and sustain own personal development
• Executing tasks as directed including mine ventilation, drill and blast and mine development design 
• Supporting the Senior Mining Engineer in development and implementation and development of assigned continuous improvement projects including development of review and operating procedures

This is an 8/6 Roster DIDO, but may consider FIFO.

Reasonable relocation expenses paid to successful candidate

 Requirements

• Degree in Mining Engineering 
• 2-3+ years underground hands on experience
• Proven safety management performance in a mining operation
• Initiative and strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Surpac or other mine design software experience
• Completion of underground hands on work experience for QLD Mine Mangers Cert of Competency
