MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 7293 - Senior Underground Mining Engineer - QLD closed
Our client is a global diversified mining group. They are operating an underground mine along with a processing plant in Northern Queensland.
They are looking for an SENIOR UNDERGROUND MINING ENGINEER for their operations
Reporting to the Underground Manager this position involves working within the technical services team to ensure mine design, scheduling and production support are carried out safely, efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.
Accountability
- Ensure compliance with Company, OH&S and environmental standards
- Delivery of challenging achievable short, medium and long term mining schedules on time and ensuring they are followed and exceeded
- Ensure the technical department deliver high quality mine plans in a timely manner in line with scheduling requirements
- Support and sustain own personal development
- Provide ongoing support for various mining functions and mentoring of technical staff
- Continually striving to achieve high standards of work with a view to continuous improvement
- Manage projects and contractors
This is an 8/6 Roster DIDO, but may consider FIFO.
Reasonable relocation expenses paid to successful candidate.
Requirements
-
Degree in Mining Engineering
- 5+ years underground hands on experience
- Proven safety management performance in a mining operation

Initiative and strong problem solving skills
-
Experience is sub level caving operation
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Surpac and Mine 2-4D/EPS or other mine design software experience

QLD Mine Mangers Cert of Competency
