UNDERGROUND PRODUCTION ENGINEER
Our client is a operates an underground mine in the north of WA. They are concentrating exploration on prospects that have potential to provide high value deposits to enable rapid future growth for the company.
They are looking for an UNDERGROUND PRODUCTION ENGINEER for their operations.
Reporting to the Underground Manager the primary focus of this role is to be responsible for seeing that production targets are met safely and efficiently and it also provides the daily control of the mine so that the budget is met for 2010
Accountability's
- Ensure that all production activities are performed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures are up to date with Industry Standard and with Company standards
- preparation of stoping areas for the mine based on the indicated resource
- Responsible for sign off stope drill and blast designs, stope reconciliations, design of stope areas, long-hole and air leg, statutory ventilation officer duties, implementation of 7 day pan
- Building an effective working relationship between Planning Engineer and all production and geology personnel and contractors and suppliers
- Assisting the alternate Underground Manager to provide back up support for projects as requested
This is FIFO role with 8/6 roster
Position Requirements

Degree in Mining Engineering
-
Ideally would have completed underground time
-
WA C class drivers license
-
Preferably has a minimum of 1-2 years experience in an underground operation.

Proven safety management performance in a mining operation
-
Initiative and strong problem solving skills
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Use of VULCAN software would be advantageous
