MINE PLANNING ENGINEER
Our client is a significant gold producer, with a diverse portfolio of operating, development and exploration assets.
They are looking for a MINE PLANNING ENGINEER for their overseas operations.
Reporting to the Principal Development Engineer the primary focus of this role is to provide mine design services in the Development and Technical Services Department to support new and existing mining operations.
Accountabilities
- Computer aided design services of mining infrastructure such as open pits, underground layouts, waste dumps, roads, dams etc
- Undertake secondments to the Company' active mining operations to improve understanding of those operations and to allow other technical professionals to undertake projects
- Carry out other projects as required
This is an international residential role Monday to Friday
Position Requirements

5 years experience in CAD planning experience with exposure to mining, quarrying or civil engineering projects

Sound knowledge of 3D design package

Preferably to have had some previous exposure to Surpac, Vulcan, Minesight or Datamine, though not essential

High level of accuracy, meticulousness and numerical skills

Initiative and strong problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
