MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8006 - Mining Engineer Open Pit - WA
OPEN PIT MINING ENGINEER
Our Client operates an open pit mine in the midwest region of Western Australia. They are looking for an Open Pit Mining Engineer to join their team.
Reporting to the Mine Superintendent, this role would be responsible for providing support of the mining team and would be a hands on and varied role. Responsible for production, drill and blast and mine planning.
Accountabilities for this position
- Provide support to production, planning, mine survey and drill and blast departments
- Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly reporting is completed on time
- Have a strong commitment to safe working practices and ensure that these are adhered to with correct safety procedures
- Support and actively participate in the delivery of the company charter and policies
- Perform project duties as requested by the Mine Superintendent
Requirements for this position
- Mining Engineering degree
- Have previous experience with 2+ years open pit experience
- Have a strong commitment to safe working practices
- Working towards an Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate
- Display effective problem solving skills
- Use of mining software packages, Surpac
- Must have a current drivers license
This is a FIFO 8/6 roster
