MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8032 - Production Mining Engineer - Residential - International
Our client is a significant International gold producer, with a diverse portfolio of operating, development and exploration assets.
The mine is situated in a very picturesque part of the world, where you could certainly enjoy some great leisure time along with the normal work load of a 5 days on 2 days off roster.
This is an international residential, permanent role and the Company will assist with relocation expenses.
The main focus of this position is to positively impact the operations productivity through continuous improvement of the mining activities and create short term mining plans that ensures optimsation in line with long term goals.
- Monitor mine production rates in order to assess operational effectiveness
- Collate and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Analyse productivities and resources to identify and implement improvements to increase efficiencies
- Maintain fleet management system to ensure integrity and quality of data and management reports
- Maintain the pit camera system to optimise its usefulness as a planning and communications tool and promote fleet efficiencies
- Design, implement and monitor the development of mine facilities, systems and equipment
- Prepare production statistics and technical reports for use by mining, engineering and management
- Build and enhance modeling tools and undertake financial modeling of business plan
- Comply with all Safety and Company Policies and Procedure requirements
To be successful in this role you will possess;
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
- 3+ years experience, preferably in Open Pit gold mining
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
