MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8053 – Senior Underground Production Engineer - Residential NSW
Our client is a intermediate international gold producing company with a large portfolio of operating mines, exploration and development projects located across the world.
The group is currently seeking a Senior Underground Production Engineer for one of their underground operations in NSW.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the main focus of this role is to optimise extraction of the known resource through efficient, safe and cost effective mining operations. Also to determine the future direction of the mine strategy, planning and design of underground and surface mining in conjunction with the management team
Responsibilities for the role
- Accountable for weekly and 12 weekly production schedules
- Accountable for mine desings, development and drill and blast to the production team in a timely manner
- Annual reserves, budgets and LOM schedule
- Provide mentoring and development within technical services team
- Working closely with mine operations and geology team
- Project work as required
- Actively seek to encourage safe work procedures and systems
Requirements for the role
- Mining Engineering degree
- 7+ years underground mining experience
- Previous experience in mine planning and reserve preparation along with long hole mining methods
- NSW drivers license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer literacy with Vulcan and Mine Works planner
- An effective and participating team member
This role will be residential NSW and will offer an excellent remuneration package as well as bonus and housing assistance.
