MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8186 - Open Pit Production Engineer - South Australia
OPEN PIT PRODUCTION ENGINEER
Our Client is a mid tier mining company with operations in Asia Pacific region. The company is building their business through exploration and extending existing projects .
The operation is located in South Australia. The site is currently involved in a number of projects in which the successful candidate will play a key role.
They are looking for an Open Pit Production Engineer for their operations
This is a key role, reporting to the Mine Superintendent and to produce daily and weekly plans in order for the mine to achieve medium term plans through reducing costs and increasing efficiency with utmost safety.
Accountabilities
- Providing mine planning, detailed mine design, development and detailed production scheduling, short term planning
- Prepare monitor and update production data
- Various other projects as required
- Resolve technical problems
- Liaising with consultant and specialist suppliers as required
This is FIFO from Adelaide with a 9/5 roster
Position Requirements

Degree in Mining Engineering
-
Preferably has a minimum of 3 years experience in an open pit operation.

Proven safety management performance in a mining operation

Results oriented with attention to detail
- Initiative and strong problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Computer literate with mine planning software such as Surpac, Vulcan, Datamine, Minesite and microsoft office
