MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8222 - Underground Mine Planning Engineer - QLD - Closed
Our client is an Australian based mining and exploration company. Their operation is based in Queensland.
They are looking for an Underground Mine Planning Engineer for their underground operations.
The main focus of this position is to supply technical support to the mining department and the mining contractor. Assist with the day to day mining operations
Accountability for this position
- Assist in the mining engineering through the short, medium and long term planning
- Contribute to achieving optimum mine production performance through daily, weekly and monthly mining costs and information collection
- Drill and blast information, assessment and blasting practices, review contractors drill and blast design
- Contribute to the effective management of the mining department with reporting and ground control, geology and survey requirements
- Ongoing project work as required
- Actively promoting safe work environment and culture
Requirements for this position
-
Degree in Mining Engineering
-
3-5 years underground hands on experience
-
Preferably working towards 1st Class qualification
- Computer literacy in Mine 2-4D, Datamine, Surpac, Microsoft
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This is an 8/6 roster - FIFO from Cairns or Townsville
