MINE SURVEYING JOBS: 8427 - Senior Mine Surveyor OP
Our Client, a gold mining and exploration company is currently seeking a Senior Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join their project.
The position requires good communication and mentoring skills to develop the team’s survey technical skills and to ensure the team meets its targets.
Key tasks and attributes
- Must set high standards of survey technical competence (instrument usage, file management and mine survey software), safety and staff development
- Must be competent in the use of GPS and total station survey instruments
- It is envisioned that a minimum of 5yrs experience in surveying within an open pit mining environment will be required. The key drivers for success though will be personal effort, ability and willingness to transfer skills.
- Previous experience using Surpac software an advantage. Strong computing skills in mine survey software are required.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- A Degree or Diploma in Surveying
- A Grade 2 authorisation
- 5 years previous open pit experience
- Advanced Surpac skills
