Our client is looking for an Trainer Mechanical, Fixed Plant Fitter who will be responsible for hands on training of a workforce of approximately 48 employees, starting at General Foreman to front line supervisor and down to trades levels excluding contractors., 

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, this is a maintenance line management role in which the incumbent will be responsible for the overall mentoring of the maintenance supervisors from primary crusher through the milling and grinding areas to the gold room as well as outlying areas such as the water supply and tailings disposal system. 

The Trainer Mechanical, Fixed Plant will be responsible for hands on training a workforce of approximately 48 employees, starting at General Foreman to front line supervisor and down to trades levels excluding contractors, distributed in the following areas -  

•  Primary Crusher and coarse ore stockpile
•  Sag and Ball Mill area
• CIL area,including concentrate regrind, thickening and reagent areas.
• Including outstations and tailings areas.  

The Trainer Mechanical maintains close liaison with the Planning Department so as to ensure the tasks contained in the weekly maintenance plans and the periodic mill and crusher shutdowns reflect the needs of the business.  In addition, the Trainer Mechanical works closely with all maintenance supervisors and support departments – planning, engineering and training, - to ensure maximum equipment availability at optimum cost and without compromise with respect to safety.
