MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8526 - Senior UG Mining Engineer - WA - Closed
Our client has several mining operations and many advanced exploration projects located across 5 continents. They are currently seeking a Senior UG Mining Engineer for one of their Gold mines in WA.
Key Responsibilities
-
Manage a small team of mining engineers
-
Overseeing short, medium and long term planning activities
-
Examining mining methods and equipment to improve performance
-
Providing engineering services to the Underground Manager as required
-
Coordinate engineering activities with production teams, surveyors, geologists, drill and blast and contractor teams

Underground mine design
-
Liaison with the underground mining workforce
-
Preparation of underground mine plans, schedules, forecasts, reserves and budgets
-
Planning and supervision of underground project work
-
Participation in preparation of feasibility studies
The successful applicant will ideally have the following:
-
Mining Engineering degree
-
5-10 years underground mining experience including development and stoping in mechanised mines
-
West Australian Shift Supervisor’s Certificate or capable of obtaining one
-
Experience with Vulcan software
-
Competent in Excel, Word and Access
-
Good written and oral communication skills
This position is FIFO 8/6 from Perth with excellent on-site accommodation and recreational facilities including Internet cafe, Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis court, squash court and gymnasium.
