MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8625 - Senior Mining Engineer - Open Pit Gold - WA
Our client is a mid-tier mining company currently seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join one of their gold projects in WA.
Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will be responsible for achieving annual budgets in a safe and cost effective manner by providing technical input and daily monitoring, scheduling and planning of open pit mining operations.
Requirements

Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering
-
5+ years open pit experience
-
First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency or Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency
-
Experience in short-term and long-term open pit mine planning and design issues
-
-
Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience
-
-
Problem solving and team work skills
-
-
Good working knowledge of Surpac software (or similar)
-
-
Knowledge of Mine Works Planner and Vulcan (desirable)
-
-
Full knowledge of Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
-
-
Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
This role is being offered on a FIFO 9/5 roster from Perth offering the successful candidate an attractive remuneration package and benefits.
