GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING JOBS: 8657 - Geotechnical Engineer
Our client is a well established iron ore producer currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join one of their open pit operations in Western Australia.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for:

Contributing to and implementing standards and procedures in respect to slope/ ground monitoring/ control and mine infrastructure

Implementing monitoring regimes in respect of dumping, surface run off and groundwater flows, and slope/ ground monitoring

Conducting geotechnical inspections of pits, dumps and stockpiles and tailings dams
-
Developing and monitoring safe work practices for work on or around slopes
-
Advise and assist engineers with recommendations on geotechnical issues regarding mine design/planning and operations as requested

Supervision of technical staff in their day to day activities
Requirements
-
Tertiary qualifications in mining, civil engineering or geology
-
2+ years previous geotechnical engineering experience
