Our Client is an ASX-Listed mining company with its major operations in the Kimberley of Western Australia. They are currently seeking a Mine Surveyor to join one of their open pit operations.
Key responsibilities of this role include;
- Complying with all statutory survey reporting requirements, and is part of the planning and methodology development team for the mine
- EOM survey pickups and volume calculation
- Setting out and picking up mine designs
- Blast volume calculation and reporting
- Drill and blast set out
- Survey requirements associated with site civil construction work (Process Plants, Roads and Tails Dams etc)
- Working with exploration to maintain accurate regional survey records
- Maintaining up to date survey plans and records of the site
- Maintain and Develop accurate Survey Control points over Mine Area
- Recording services locations and supply of data for dig permits
- Acting as an Authorized Excavation Officer and approving Dig Permits
The successful candidate will possess;
- Advanced Diploma in Mine Surveying or equivalent
- Hold or is able to obtain a current WA Grade 2 Surveyor’s certificate,
- Holds a current C class WA drivers License
- 3+ years in Open Pit Mining
- A high attention to detail and good time management skills are essential elements to the job
- A working knowledge of a GPS based survey system and computer aided post processing
- Any experience with a Trimble RTK survey instrument and Vulcan software would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given
- A good understanding of mine design and set out with some civil construction experience
