GEOLOGY JOBS: 8964 - Geotechnician - Grade Control - CLOSED
Our client is part of a fast growing group of companies. They are seeking the services of a Geotechnician/Grade Controller for their copper mine in Tasmania. The role is residential on a 8/6 family friendly roster, 12 hour shifts.
The role is under the guidance of the Mine Geologist and supports the mine planning and operations, particularly in the areas of underground draw-point control, development monitoring, ground support and diamond drilling support.
The preferred candidate must have:
- Previous technical or operations experience in underground or surface mines;
- Aptitude for technical work including physical work;
- Computer literacy, particularly with databases and Microsoft Office software;
- Valid Drivers Licence;
- A general understanding of underground mining and processing, including safety, environmental and operational considerations is essential.
