GEOLOGY JOBS: 8910 Project Geologist
We are currently sourcing a Project Geologist for a 6-9 month contract opportunity in Central NSW. Our client is a world leader in finding, mining and processing the Earth's mineral resources, with most assets in Australia and North America, but also operating in Europe, South America, Asia and Africa.
The Role
The Evaluation Team currently supervise six underground drill rigs and are seeking an experienced Project Geologist to assist in the continued acquisition and modelling of geological data. Responsibilities include-
- Supervise and audit underground drill rigs
- Design underground diamond drill holes
- Perform geological modelling using Vulcan mining software
- Log diamond drill core
- Supervise core logging geologists
The Candidate
To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following-
- Have a minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in the mining industry
- Experience in metalliferous deposits
- Degree in Geology
- Exposure to Vulcan or Surpac software packages (desirable)
- Experience in an underground environment (desirable)
- Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
