Our client is one of Australia’s leading underground mining contractors. Established to provide underground mining contract services to the Western Australian mining industry, they are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to assist them with their future expansions.

Skills:

•  Highly experienced in all areas of underground mobile equipment maintenance;
•  Genuine commitment to workplace safety, environmental matters and technical training;
•  Experience in leading and motivating large teams, including workshops and functional experts;
•  Strong communication & influencing skills, when liaising with executive management, clients and other functional heads;
•  Strategic management skills, including ensuring effective scheduling of labour and maintenance, financial implications of engineering contributions and maintenance reporting
•  A well-developed financial acumen - including budget control, recommendations and reporting;

Desirable Qualifications:

•   A degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.  Qualifications in finance or business qualification will be highly regarded
•   A minimum of 10 years experience in an engineering / maintenance management role. 
•   Resources industry experience is essential
