THE ROLE:

• Focused on the bidding, winning and delivering of projects such as commercial, industrial, institutional & residential buildings in steel, reinforced concrete, steel-concrete composite, timber and masonry structures
• Marketing the business and broadening the client base to suit company expansion and development of markets.
• Build inventive teams by leading and coaching engineers and designers, focus on new thinking and innovation
• Be responsible for resourcing and resource allocation
• Provide technical oversight, peer review and detailed input as required
• Establish excellent relationships with clients and their project management teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (B.Eng)
• MBA or Project Management qualifications (not essential, but advantageous)
  
  

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate would have:

• At least 9 years of post qualification experience
• Proven, current design experience within the Australian market
• Existing client base (not essential, but advantageous)
• Worked in either the construction or resources sectors; such as commercial/industrial buildings, infrastructure, large structural projects, industrial plants, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of estimation, tenders, contract invoicing, claims, etc.
