Our client is one of the world's leading natural resources groups, focused on copper production. They operate 17 underground and open pit mines across Eastern Europe and they are currently looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team

Position Description: The Lead Electrical Engineer role is accountable to the Engineering Manager and will provide technical integrity for the Electrical discipline and ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the Electrical Department in terms of business improvement, project delivery, safety, HV/LV power reticulation, instrumentation and plant reliability.
• Develop and maintain a quality design threshold for the Electrical discipline through the use of understandable quality procedures.
• Ensuring statutory compliance for all electrical installations, equipment and works across the site.
• Ability to control the work scope to budget and schedule.
• Experience in coordinating multi discipline team to deliver required work within allotted time frames
• Ability to effectively cost time and manage resources.

Professional Qualities

• Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering combined with a minimum of 10 years experience in the mining sector.
• Experience in all phases of project implementation from feasibility study to commissioning and start-up.
• Experience with project work on large scale mining projects is essential. 
• Demonstrated skills with the use of specific proprietary software packages relevant to Engineering disciplines.
• Self-motivated and capable of working with minimum direct supervision and adapting to changing circumstances.
• Previous experience in an expatriate role, preferably in Central Asia.
• Languages: English Language - Essential, Russian Language - Desirable
