On behalf of our Client, we are currently sourcing for an experience Environmental Officer for a challenging site-based role on an attractive FIFO roster.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough Environmental Monitoring program, including dust, water & soil sampling.
• Assist in the preparation of environmental reports, licence applications, and submissions.
• Manage internal environmental resources to optimise internal processes / practices and ensure that planned objectives are achieved within budget.
• Liaise with Senior Management and Engineers on the timing, status and progress of Approvals Requests.
• Provide support in all aspects of environmental management for the project including the provision of general environmental advice and support to Perth and site based personnel.
• Promotion and awareness of Project environment and approvals requirements including environmental opportunities and constraints.

Position Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Strong background in conducting & reporting on environmental monitoring programs.
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to the mining industry.
• Ability to embrace the Company’s health, safety and environment values, manage environmental risk assessments and implement practical control measures.
• Strong attention to detail.
