GEOLOGY JOBS: 7271 - Project Geologist
Our client is a successful and growing Australian gold mining company. Their key assets include gold operations along with an exciting new development opportunity.
They currently require an experienced Project Geologist to join the highly engaged and dynamic workforce at their Goldfields Operations.
As a Project Geologist you will be an integral member of the Geology Team and will be responsible for geologically assessing and providing timely and accurate delineation of economic mineralisation amenable to underground mining.
The Project Geologist is a key member of the Geology Team and the incumbent will assist with production and reconciliation reporting; the updating of geological models; and defining, evaluating and targeting resource extensions. This role plays a key part in the resource development value chain in terms of the continuous updating of on-site geological models and providing a coordinating and quality control function to the resource generation process.
A tertiary qualification in Geology is essential, along with a minimum of 3 years experience in an underground environment, preferably within the gold mining industry.
The successful candidate will have a high level of computer literacy and be proficient with appropriate software.
