GEOLOGY JOBS: 7348 - Chief Underground Geologist - Northern Africa

Our client, a WA-based resource company with it's flagship gold operation in northern Africa, is seeking the services of an experienced Chief Underground Geologist.

Depending on the location of the successful candidate, the international fly-in/fly-out roster will be either 40 days on/20 days off or 20 days on/10 days off. A generous remuneration package is offered, with local taxes being covered by the client.

To be considered for this rare position, you will require:-

  • A tertiary degree in geology.
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant mining experience, with at least 5 years of this in a managerial capacity.
  • 5 years plus experience in a porphyry gold exploration or mining environment.
  • Excellent communication & supervisory skills.
  • High quality report writing and presentation skills.
  • AUSIMM (or equivalent) membership.
  • JORC resource statement compliance.
  • Experience with various geological software packages, especially Surpac.
