GEOLOGY JOBS: 8248 Underground Mine Geologist - Closed
Underground Mine Geologist required to fill a production focussed role for our Adelaide based client. You will be working 900m underground, in a hard rock gold mine, producing about 100,000oz of gold per annum. Our client is extremely geology focused, rather then engineer dominated giving a great balance to the operations, which other roles may lack. To be considered for this opportunity you will require a minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role, with solid underground exposure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Core and sludge chip logging
- Underground face sampling and mapping
- Backs mapping
- Geotechnical mapping and assessment
- Seismic and geotechnical monitoring
- Drill hole design
- Drive design
- Ore body modelling
- Stope design
- Data entry and reporting
This position is FIFO from Adelaide on an excellent 14/7 roster initially, with the opportunity for an 8/6 after probationary period of 3 months. Accommodation on site is in en-suited rooms, with the standard facilities available in most minesite camps.
