Our client is a leading growth-focused Australian mid-cap gold producer with various Australian gold projects across QLD and WA, a defined growth pathway, significant & exciting exploration potential and a strong financial position.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Geologist your responsibilities include-

• Geological activities including geology projects
• Assisting with mine forecasting and scheduling processes
• Develop geotechnical monitoring programmes and budgets, including forecasts relating to geological requirements.

THE CANDIDATE 

For success in this position you require-

• High commitment to safe working practices at all times
• Tertiary qualifications in geology or a related field, suitable for full membership to
  the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy
• Previous exposure to and working knowledge of Surpac is ideal, but not essential.
• Experience with Mapinfo would be highly advantageous
• Prior work experience in the open cut mine geology is essential, minimum of 3
  years post graduation
• Proactive approach and drive and commitment to deliver results
• Well developed written and oral communication skills

With a background in Mine Geology, the successful candidate must have the drive and ability to work autonomously, deliver results and to contribute to development of ongoing resources and reserves.  This is a contract position commencing immediately, however the employer is willing to consider a permanent position for candidates willing to relocate to QLD.
