We currently have a great long term contract available for a suitable qualified and experienced Hydrogeologist Co-ordinator.  This position is a fixed term 18 month contract, reporting to the Superintendent Hydrogeology. 

THE POSITION

The early execution works includes dewatering and depressurisation of the proposed pit and development of a saline water supply and managed aquifer recharge scheme.  The Program Coordinator - Water Development (Hydrogeology Coordinator) will coordinate, supervise and monitor all site activities associated with hydrogeological drilling, construction, commissioning and operation. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safe and efficient use of all drilling, construction and operational resources assigned to the project in order to achieve dewatering / depressurisation and water supply objectives. Activities will be coordinated with the existing operation and other site activities and departments in order to create maximum value to the project and site.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent communication and coordination skills, a solid working understanding of drilling techniques and/or pipeline construction, and significant experience in drilling and/or construction contractor supervision.  You will have a proven ability to influence and mentor others in HSEC principles and behaviours, complemented by an ability to operate at multiple levels and across disciplines. Experience in cost control and project management is desirable as is a relevant tertiary qualification.
