As a leading independent Australian hematite iron ore producer,  is well-established in the bulk commodities sector and they are looking for a Maintenance Planner.  The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for providing an effective maintenance planning function by scheduling all maintenance work through the maintenance management system. The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for scheduling of work for the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams within the processing plant in accordance with established maintenance procedures.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Optimising plant reliability, workforce productivity and quality through planning and coordination of people, parts and materials.
  
• Identification of continuous improvement in reduction of task planning and execution.
• 
  Liaise with maintenance, projects and production to incorporate maintenance and improvement work.
• Utilise scheduled downtime to undertake preventative maintenance activities in line with established schedules and budgets.
  
• Assist in budget forecasting. 
  
• Seek the support of other team members in planning maintenance tasks to ensure impact on other areas is identified.
  
• Assist in maintenance strategy development and supporting documentation reviews.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Proven planning skills that will ensure maintenance schedules are kept and preventative maintenance practices are adhered to.
• 
  A demonstrated working knowledge of computer based maintenance management system, Pronto.
  
• The ability to manage and work with teams.
• 
  Strong written and oral communication skills.
  
• A willingness to take responsibility for role accountabilities.
  
• The ability to contribute to the development of budgets, manage costs and report on performance to budget.
