CONSTRUCTION JOBS: 8465 - Underground Construction Manager - Europe - Closed
Our client is taking a leading role in developing the country's tremendous mineral resources and for this project they are looking for a experienced Underground Construction Manager
Project Status
The mine commenced production operations in July 2011 and has a current mine life of 13 years, with an exciting exploration potential. The underground crushing and conveying arrangement is still under construction. Additional underground infrastructure that is scheduled for construction in 2011 / 2012 includes:
- UG Workshop – 3 bay facility with OHC
- 5.5m dia x 30m supported ore bins
- UG Refueling Bay
- UG Washbay
- UG Sump collection and Pumping Station (design of ~ 25m3/hr)
- UG Cribroom
- UG Magazine
Scope of Work
A suitably experienced person is required to :
1) Project manage (Engineering / Procurement/ Construction / Commission) the above facilities, using predominantly Turkish resources (Supply chain and some engineering resources are on site, and contractor resources are also available). In this case, a person with a mining/civil / mechanical engineering or project/construction management background is suitable, with UG experience almost essential
OR
2) Supervise the works conducted by contractors (and some in-house resources) and assist with appropriate design and procurement. In this case, an experienced UG construction worker or supervisor would be most suitable
Conditions
The position is envisaged to last 6-9 months (depending on the person’s start time)
