MANAGEMENT JOBS: 7058 - General Manager - Human Resources
Our client, a WA-based iron ore explorer with their flagship project located in Cameroon, is seeking the services of an exceptional candidate to undertake the role of GM - Human Resources in the Perth office.
Reporting to the CEO, your role will be to implement the HR organizational development strategy to each phase of the project, and to ensure the alignment of HR practices of both the company's operations in Perth and Africa. While this is a Perth-based role, occasional travel to Africa will be required.
The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:-
- Develop/deploy resourcing strategies to underpin the company's activities in WA and Cameroon.
- Direct the provision of HR and administrative services to the business.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Develop training and community development activities in Africa to ensure the company's African project is suitable staffed.
- Co-ordinate the use of HR consultants.
- Develop and train both Perth & African HR staff.
To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills/attributes:-
- Extensive professional experience in a managment capacity.
- Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Training or a related discipline.
- Previous experienxce with overseas operations, especially in Africa.
- Previous experience in a cross-cultural environment.
- Experience in compiling expatriate-based remuneration packages.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, professional and organisational development and capability.
- Experience in developing/mentoring staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be Perth-based.
- MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK FRENCH.
