METALLURGY JOBS: 6406 - Plant Metallurgist
Our Client is one of the major global mining houses operating across commodities and with a strong presence throughout Australia.
They are looking for a Plant Metallurgist with a background in base metal flotation to join their production team who is capable of providing technical input to the day to day operation as well as input into ongoing de-bottlenecking projects.
As Plant Metallurgist, you will be responsible for providing information and analysis to optimise and continuously improve throughput and recovery in the Processing Plant.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in safety and production improvement initiatives
- Provision of technical expertise to operations personnel to assist with plant problem solving
- Report on production and budget targets
- Project work to improve plant efficiency and de-bottlenecking
- Monitor and analyse plant performance in order to maximise throughput and recovery
Requirements:
- 2-5 years experience as a Metallurgist in a processing plant, base metal flotation experience desired
- Degree in Metallurgy or Mineral Processing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office
