Our client's vision is to become a leading independent Australian iron ore company with a portfolio of production assets, located within Western Australia.
They are looking for a suitably qualified Metallurgist to join the group as Project Process Manager
Reporting to the Study Manager, this role will be responsible for managing all of the process activities for the project. A senior metallurgist will report to this position
The key responsibilities will include:
- Management of the process design aspects of the process plant and concentrator
- Co-ordination of the metallurgical testwork programme
- Approval of the mass balances, process flowsheets and process design criteria
- Management of the design consultants process design scope with a particular focus on time, cost, quality and inter discipline co-ordination
- Support with the development of project execution plans
- Preparation of project specific process design standards
The successful candidate will meet the following key criteria
- A degree in Extractive Metallurgy or a related discipline
- Minimum 15 years experience in process design and plant construction and commissioning
- Experience in the iron ore industry and or mineral beneficiation
- A background which includes operational experience will be highly regarded
