With a new plant up and running, our Client is looking for a suitably qualified Senior Metallurgist with a flotation background to join their operation.

Key responsibilities of this role include;

• Provide leadership to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards
• Lead activities of the Metallurgy Team to assure cost effective and high quality metal recovery activities including accurate budgeting, metallurgical accounting and reconciliation. 
• Implement and monitor operations budgeting and cost control systems
• Provide technical input into the ongoing development and expansion
• Liaise with other departments to achieve optimum throughput and recovery
• Pro-actively participate and contribute to department tactical plan

Qualifications and Experience required to be successful;

• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• At least five years experience in industry with exposure to gold processing and flotation required.
• Prior experience in Africa is desirable but will consider those candidates with other overseas experience.
