Our Client operates one of the largest mining operations in Australia

They are looking for a Plant Metallurgist with a background in flotation to join their production team as they move ahead with a major expansion to their processing capacity.

Experience in SAG Milling and copper flotation will be well regarded.

As Plant Metallurgist, you will be responsible for providing information and analysis to optimise and continuously improve throughput and recovery in the Processing Plant. 

Duties & Responsibilities:        

• Actively participate in safety and production improvement initiatives         
• Provision of technical expertise to operations personnel to assist with plant problem solving        
• Report on production and budget targets 
• Project work to improve plant efficiency       
• Monitor and analyse plant performance in order to maximise throughput and recovery

Requirements:        

• 3-5 years experience as a Metallurgist in a processing plant, flotation experience well regarded       
• Degree in Metallurgy or Mineral Processing    
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills      
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office
