Our Client is a Perth based ASX listed company with a market capitalisation of approximately A$125m who are about to join the ranks of significant gold producers.

They are now seeking a tertiary qualified and experienced person to fill the role of Mill Superintendent at their new operation in Africa, where they will be processing in excess of 6 MTPA and producing 200,000 oz pa.

Specific experience is required in Crushing, SAG Milling, Ball Mill, Flotation and CIL and applicants must have a strong commitment to the continued training and development of their staff and be highly motivated team players.

The successful candidate will possess a degree in metallurgy and be able to demonstrate a minimum of 10 years experience in gold with at least 5 years in a supervisory role and previous offshore experience will be highly regarded.

• Cost effective recovery
• Asset management and maintenance strategies
• Continuous improvement initiatives throughout the mill
• Budgets and cost control
• Management of the mill team including maintenance and stores
• Coverage for the Mill Manager on rotation

 Candidate Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Extractive Metallurgy or Mineral Processing
• Strong understanding of the complete gold process
• Large Mill and Flotation Experience
• Previous experience handling budgets
• Proven ability to manage high volume staff
• Strong understanding of HSE issues and mining legislation/ regulations

The role is offered as 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off to POH, with business class air fares and the remuneration package is structured to attract and retain the quality of applicants that this position requires.
