MINING ENGINEERING JOBS: 8415 - Medium Term Mine Planning Engineers - UG
On behalf of my client I am looking for a Medium Term Planning Engineer to work at their Western Australian Gold Operation
The Medium Term Planning Engineer is primarily responsible for generating, updating and maintaining the 12 Month Mining Schedule / Quarterly Forecast and the 3 Month Mining Schedule. The 3 Month Schedule is to generate a Weekly Schedule consistent with the requirements established for each month of that particular quarter.
The position operates in an environment that focuses on safe, cost-effective production, technical excellence. The position reports to the Underground Manager.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Tertiary Qualification – Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years mine operations experience in hardrock metaliferrous mining of a similar scale and equipment fleet preferably.
- Continuous experience in short/medium term planning.
- Operations experience supervising others and/or operating equipment and/or completing drilling and blasting operations.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of strategic planning for this type of project including a confident understanding of the global key drivers that affect the optimisation of the project as a whole.
- Advanced PC skills and computer literacy including experience with mine planning packages.
- A strong desire to expand and apply your technical knowledge in the continuous improvement of the operation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that will be used to inform, coach and train your peers and senior staff.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver results to schedule and budget while having demonstrated a proactive commitment to a safe working environment.
