MANAGEMENT JOBS: 8528 - Open Pit Manager
OPEN PIT MANAGER
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Open Pit Manager to get on-board as the Project Lead through a Feasibility Study and taking this project through to production.
Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will be the Project Lead responsible for ensuring that the Feasibility team achieves all technical, planning and production aspects of the study to a high standard and in a timely manner with the intention of creating a large gold open pit.
Pre-commitment negotiations have commenced for purchasing of the new mining fleet, governmental approvals well underway and further drilling campaigns are being planned. The schedule is tight but realistic with breaking dirt planned for late 2013. You will also be a pivotal team member required to integrate the open pit into the current medium sized underground operation.
Experience and qualifications required:
This role will suit an experienced Engineer who has held a role as a Technical Services Superintendent or an Open Pit Manager at a smaller operation looking to take the next step.

- First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate
- Exemplary personal skills
- Actively champion a high level and understanding of safety
